Hi again everybody! We have been busy working hard on the farm to produce another crop of fresh tasty apples. Its been a very hot and extremely dry summer, making the growing conditions tough. There is actually a very large crop of apples overall and we are now finally seeing that the much needed recent rainfall will help to size up the fruit. We are planning to open our store this week (Tuesday, August 23) The first major apple variety we will be offering is Paula Red. There are so many of them this year! If you want to get some healthy, local, fresh picked apples to feed your family on a budget then we can definitely help you out. Please note that we do not open the orchard for pick your own apples right away- we will be posting details about the pick your own schedule in the days to come. Later on in September and October we will allow visitors into the orchard to pick from absolutely massively laden trees like Empire and Golden Delicious. Hope to see you here again soon!
Christmas Tree Time at the Farm
Cut Your Own Christmas Trees !!
Cut Your Own Christmas trees starts this weekend! The cost is $60 for any tree up to 8 feet in height. Bigger trees will be priced at an additional $5 per foot. This means that a 9 ft tree will cost $65, a 10 foot tree will be $70, and so on.
We have saws available for loan to customers but suggest that you bring your own if you have one at home. We hope to have (weather, time and labor permitting) a selection of pre cut trees on display as well. Please understand that this is a small business and we have had difficulty all season long with getting help on our farm. Our staffing level is limited and we are doing our best with the amount of help that we currently have to run the store etc… There are still lots of apples for sale and our fresh pressed apple cider is now on sale at 20% off! Hope to see you here!
